Release Blitz of GONE by Karyn Good

Gone Tour Graphic
Gone
Series: Aspen Lake Series Book 3
Genre: Romantic Suspense
Publisher: The Wild Rose Press
Publication Date: May 6, 2019
Gone...but never forgotten.
Ever since a devastating family tragedy seventeen years ago, Grace Bighill has struggled to keep her remaining family from falling apart. Then the discovery of her mother's body in the woods unearths a connection to a decades old murder case, and Grace is dragged into a politician's bitter bid for revenge.
Constable Mike Davenport's days in Aspen Lake are numbered. He's ready to take his next step up the career ladder somewhere a lot more cosmopolitan. He's avoided any emotional attachments, despite having fallen hard for a certain stubborn local. But when a body turns up, Mike's careful intentions collapse in the face of Grace's grief and her exhaustive efforts to care for her family.
A search for answers leads Grace and Mike down a twisted path proving no one can escape their roots. But someone might die trying.

Excerpt

The music still played but no one listened. They were too busy trying to talk at once.
Mike settled in beside her and his disapproving green eyes scanned her face. He lifted the cloth covering her knee and winced. "You okay?"
Grace flinched as his fingers did a gentle probe. "Welcome to the party."
"Seems we were a little late getting our invitation." His expression turned serious. "This may need medical attention."
"It's just a scratch." She tamped down the gooey need threatening to overtake her. Tried to remember it didn't pay to get sentimental over this particular man.
Her reassurance didn't stop him from carefully dabbing at her cut. Or from leaning in to get a closer look. "I don't see any glass, but that doesn't mean there isn't any in there."
"I'm fine." She braced her hands on the floor ready to lift herself up, having had enough attention and being at the center of it.
Mike put his hand on her shoulder and coaxed her back down. "There's no rush. Take a moment."
She warmed under his touch and the tender concern she'd secretly, and not so secretly, yearned for since he'd arrived in Aspen Lake two years ago.

Release Blitz of THE EARL NEXT DOOR by Amelia Grey

The Earl Next Door Tour Graphic
From New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author
Amelia Grey
The Earl Next Door
Series: First Comes Love # 1
Genre: Historical Romance
Publisher: St. Martin's Press
Publication Date: May 28, 2019
One fiercely independent widow. One honest proposal. One unconventional game of love.
When Adeline, Dowager Countess of Wake, learns of her husband's sudden death, she realizes she's free. At last, she can do, go, and be as she pleases. Finally, she can have the life she has always dreamed of. She doesn't need, or want, to remarry. Especially not the supremely dashing Earl of Lyonwood, who makes Adeline yearn for his desire . . .
Lord Lyonwood, son of a philandering marquis, will not be like his father. He wants to run his estates and watch them flourish - and find a wife who brings love to his life. When he meets spirited and self-reliant Adeline in a case of near-scandalous mistaken identity, Lyon feels he's met his match. But Adeline isn't interested in a marriage proposal. She will only accept becoming his lover - and Lyon finds it hard to refuse. Unless the fire of his passion can melt Adeline's resolve . . .

Excerpt

“You’re much younger than I assumed the owner of this establishment would be,” Lyon confessed. “And as beautiful as you are in your crimson and gold, and in any other circumstances, or another location, I would be happy to pay whatever fee you charge to fulfill my needs. However, this is a respectable neighborhood and I cannot and will not sit by and allow a madam to move in and set up her business here.”
A trio of thumps resounded in Adeline’s chest and then a few more. The pendulum on the clock must have ticked a half dozen times. Her brain seemed to freeze before the air swooshed out of her lungs. Shock roared through her. Her whole body stiffened before she felt her eyes narrow in outrage.
“Just where do you think you are, sir?”
“A house of pleasure, Madam.”
Outrage quickly morphed to fury which flowed hot and fast, consuming her. Oh yes, she knew about such disgraceful, secret places. She’d overheard her late husband and his small group of gentlemen friends talk about visiting them. And this man thought her house was one of them
Adeline was skilled at holding in her emotions but this stranger had gone too far. With only one step she stood toe-to-toe with him. Lifting her face, she rose up on the ball of her feet and edged her nose closer to his. “You think this is one of the many private underground brothels hidden from all but Society’s most elite gentlemen?”
“Isn’t it?” he asked huskily.
There was no time to consider what her next move should be. Stiffening her spine and taking a step back, she proclaimed, “I am the Dowager Countess of Wake and you have trespassed too far. How dare you burst into my house and speak to me the way you have. You, sir, are an abomination to the term gentleman.”
She fought to regain every ounce of her normal calm, her abiding restraint, her guiding sense of decorum in any unpleasant circumstance. But then she accidentally looked at his mouth, felt that long suppressed surge of yearning. Adeline didn’t want this unusual mix of longing and angry dizziness to control her. She hated the truth of how womanly and desirable it made her feel to see hunger for her in his eyes. Hated the truth of how she was presented.
And then, in a moment of insanity, she thought of the very real possibility of those full lips on hers stirring with passion, and reason was gone.
Unable to do anything else before she lost herself completely, she drew back her hand and struck him soundly across the face. It was that, or kiss him.
Perhaps she chose the wrong one.

When the truth comes out, so does trouble to the club. Cole wants Raven, but will their insane attraction to one another be enough to overcome the deception and give them a chance at happiness?

Excerpt

Heart pounding, I panted breathlessly, "Cole! I'm-I'm not who you th-think I am!" I scraped his scalp with my nails, bowing sharply beneath his mouth. Oh, sweet Jesus, he was going to kill me with pleasure!
Breathing hard, he pulled his mouth off my nipple and looked up at me with surprising clarity in his eyes, his dark expression stamped with raw arousal. "I know exactly who you are," he grated hoarsely. "I've known since I pulled you beneath me."
What? I took a second to process what he'd said, or to at least try. I was so turned on that it felt as if I were on some life-altering drug, and I was, in a way--I was high on Cole. "We-We can't do this," I whispered, while at the same time asking myself why it was that we couldn't.
His grin was pure sex. "Looks like we are."
"But . . . you thought I was someone else," I reminded him. "What about her?"
He released a frustrated breath. "Can we talk about this later? I'm right in the middle of something."
I was not going to be a convenient fill-in for another woman, no matter how turned on I was. No matter how hot Cole was. "Listen, jerk, when a man makes love to me, I'd at least like to know that he knows it's me he’s making love to."
His body vibrated with laughter against me. "I don't make love, baby. I fuck."
I felt a surge of anger in response to his flippant attitude. "Well, then find someone else to fuck," I hissed, trying to wiggle out from beneath him. Cole was a big man, and he was heavy. Bumping my hips to try to force him to move proved to be a dumb move, because all it managed to do was reveal how fucking huge and hard his cock was.
Cole grunted in response and dropped his head back onto my breasts. I began to wiggle wildly, afraid of where this was going.
Afraid of myself.
"Get off!"
"Jesus, wait a fucking minute, will you?" he growled as if he were in pain, pressing my body down to hold me still.
I stilled. "I'll give you ten seconds."
His mouth was against my breast, and the feel of his smile on my flesh caused a shiver to ripple through my body.

Book Tour of OTHER THAN by Mia Jo Celeste

We are super excited to be part of the Book Tour for OTHER THAN, a thrilling gaslamp fantasy by Mia Jo Celeste. The new audiobook version is now available. Check it out!
Other Than
Genre: Gaslamp Fantasy, Paranormal Historical Romance
Publisher: The Wild Rose Press
Publication Date: January 27, 2017
Other Than #PNR A purgatory as dangerous as Dr. Moreau’s Island with zombies and romance.
It only takes one drink from the Water of Immortality to kill Evie Woods—halfway. Trapped in undead flesh, the world’s last skin-slider wakens on an island purgatory where a cursed spring bubbles with immortality, and zombie cannibals crave living flesh.
Her only hope of escape rests in the hands of the one man who would see her fail. Bound to her by cords stronger than death, Lord Victor Lowell is both the man of her dreams, and her darkest nightmares. Contrary and intractable, Victor preys on others to maintain his angelic charisma and preternatural prowess. Drawn to the compellingly gallant and vulnerable soul behind his mercurial humors, Evie can only watch as protecting her forces Victor to sacrifice yet more of himself to the ancient evil long tethered to his soul.
Trapped in an ever-escalating war they can’t stop, Victor and Evie fight time for a cure, but as the long days pass blackness tears at Evie, ripping her thoughts from her one memory at a time. Victor will to do whatever it takes to prevent her from deteriorating into a rotting husk, even if it means dooming himself, but Evie won’t surrender his soul without a fight. Battle lines drawn, the soul mates resolve to find redemption or die trying.

Excerpt

Vaguely aware of movement, warmth and sea spray, Evie dozed. She awoke as an icy current gripped her. Pushed or pulled, she slipped under a racing stream. She gasped. Her open mouth filled. She fought to raise her head. Water sloshed around her thrashing limbs. Why was she underwater?
His face a mask of fury, Victor loomed above the glossy liquid. Did he hold her down? Drown her?
She kicked out, bumping rocks and flesh, not connecting with the stream’s bottom. Fingers clawed through her hair. Her hair? She’d been bald when she’d passed out.
She couldn’t breathe. Couldn’t breathe. Couldn’t breathe. She sucked in water and struggled for the surface and Victor, both only inches above her.
Yet she couldn’t rise. Too much drag. A relentless force held her down.
Lips pressed into a hard line, Victor swung.
At her? She didn’t feel his fist. Yet her scalp stung from scratches. Strong fingers twined about her neck.
Too many hands. If Victor stood, fists bunched, whose hands jabbed her cheek? What scrambled for purchase over her shoulders?
More water sluiced down her throat. She gagged. Victor yanked her out of the current. An instant only. The clinging weight towed her back beneath the surface.
Victor punched again. His hand shattered the surface’s clarity before thudding against flesh—not hers—rather whatever lugged her deeper keened and squirmed, dredging up slit.
Instead of blood, foul black clots bubbled upward.
Victor wrenched Evie free and tossed her unceremoniously to the gritty bank.
Breaking the surface, a mud-slicked Howler charged Victor. Lace still hung from its pale neck and long hair slapped at its corseted torso.
Evie clamored to all fours and spluttered. Simply spluttered as air replaced water.
Mouth snapping, the thing that had once been a woman leaped on Victor. Hands grappled his neck. Nails scored his cheeks while its legs clamped around his hips—bringing him down.
Splashing, the two tumbled as they wrestled down the clay bank and into the stream.
Still short of breath, Evie frantically scanned the bits of lumber scattered around the bank. She snatched up a cracked plank, ship’s flooring perhaps. She waded into the stream and clubbed the creature. Once. Twice.
It didn’t let go.
She bashed away. Five, six and seven solid strikes later, the once-woman released Victor and whirled toward her, lunging and snuffling.
Evie lashed out in defense. Brittle skin parted, cracked skull jutted through hair, fermented gray oozed free and still the thing attacked. Evie parried and batted.
It kept coming.
Why wouldn’t it give up? Hadn’t she mashed most of its head? “Enough, enough,” Evie sobbed between gaps.
“Enough.” Victor seized the lumber from Evie’s grasp.
Done dealing damage, Evie retreated. She stumbled over the broken boards, and loose clay. Victor had the makeshift weapon, but the creature rushed Evie.
Victor sidestepped, giving it clear access.
Evie gaped at Victor. She should flee or find another weapon, but she couldn’t tear her gaze away.
As feathery as dandelion fluff, his hair had re-grown-- skin-slider fast.
Exertion pinked his face. His nostrils flared. He was alive and healing. Across his cheeks, skin knitted to skin. His wounds closed almost Maiden-quick. Behind the once-woman, he brought the board over her head, under her chin and lifted like he sought to hoist the hunger-crazed creature off her feet.
A living person would choke, grapple for the board, but this was a Howler. No need of breath, it craved flesh and combat. Its claw-like fingers raked the air inches from Evie’s face. Its white, unseeing eyes rolled in rotting sockets and yet the thing still focused on Evie, still registered her as prey. Perhaps, through its heavy snuffles, it smelled her. Incredibly strong, it drew Victor along. Spittle frothed from its ulcerous lips.
He grimaced. Muscles bunched. Veins stood out. Even though he planted his boots in a bit of pebbled sand, the creature moved him as easily as a plow horse turning loose soil. He’d lost his supernatural strength; however, he’d gained a new but familiar grace to his movements. Another man would be off balance. Not Victor.
Whatever he’d become, he was as agile and fierce as a jaguar and perhaps as lethal.

His people took everything from me, and Goddess be damned if I won't take it back.
“I’ll be good to you,” he purred and swept his thumb over my pendant, caressing. His ki surged into my mind, hammering at me with a soothing promise, abusing the link he’d left behind with a kiss. “You’ll never want for anything…”
Asher promises to teach me the forbidden while my city—my home—burns at his back. Because of him, Tritan falls, and the Caledonian forces take the best of my people for their own sick uses.
To fight, those of us who remain must flee. Regroup, or submit.
But he’s coming, hunting me, and Asher won’t stop until I wear his mark. Until my goddess-given power is his to command.

Excerpt

A low groan rumbled in his throat, and he swallowed, catching my wrist in a much larger hand. For a long moment, he simply stared down at me, but when my tongue darted out to wet lips dried by searing winds of ki and living shadows, something in him snapped. I felt it happen. Even before he pressed his lips to mine, I felt it.
Warm and soft, his kiss spoke of the forbidden. The impossible. Making my core clench with unnatural speed and fervor as ki whirled between us. Sending blood surging in delicate tissue. All around us. Invisible to the hoards of sightless mundane going about their business a scant few feet away, where only their shades could see us. The scrape of a day-old beard dragged a splintered groan from my chest, and, hands slipping down my back, he seized the taut globes of my bottom. Spreading me.
Pulling me closer.
Would that he could drag me inside his skin, where I could drink him dry and soothe this blessed, painful ache.
His teeth traced my lower lip, filling my lungs with breath and heated ki, pressing a thick bulge against my belly.
I gasped, drinking him in, demanding more. Gorging until my every cell was filled to bursting. Drawing on him as heavily as I drew upon his lips. Needing it. More. There would never be enough.
A puff of breath warmed my cheek when he twisted, breaking away from my lips with a curse, his fingers bunching the fabric of my shift. Inching it indecently high. But he drew back, setting his forehead against mine. Petting my hair back with calloused hands. Obsidian eyes concealed behind scrunched eyelids, labored breath leaving my skin damp. “God, the taste of you, girl.” He released my bottom and cupped the back of my neck, forcing me to still. “What are you?”
“I’m—” my voice cracked, and I cleared my throat, blinking as the world settled around us. Dazed, I squinted up at the man, admiring the rugged, handsome features so different to my own. Alien. Bronzed skin, muscular frame, dark hair and darker eyes—everything I wasn’t.
A Caledonian.
Kissing a Caledonian Elite in public? Had I lost my damned mind? My father would…
Nothing.
My father wasn’t here. And I hadn’t had enough. Not now. Not ever.
I buried my fist in his hair, pulling him back. Driven by instinct I didn’t recognize as my own. By a needy itch below the skin, the likes of which I’d never felt before. Before him...

About Myra Danvers

Raised by her awesome parents in Canada's snowy north, Myra learned perseverance from an early age. She learned to speak in third person, via extensive reading as a child, because... well... Northern Canada gets a LOT of snow. And when one isn't snowboarding, building quinzees, or waking up to teddy bears frozen to the floor, one tends to read about places that are warm--even if being cold is preferable to being hot, every-damn-time.
All that reading gave Myra the gypsy bug. So, after college, (where she majored in professional gypsying) she moved to a ski resort in British Colombia to be a ski bum and chase the winter, because the cold was in her bones and it never bothered her anyway. (Points because Elsa of Frozen is her spirit animal?)
But then life caught up with her, as it does, and now she's stuffed full of enough life experience to write until transcendence (where she will be first in line to get a sweet android body and travel the universe until the end of time). So that's what she does, when she's not listening to the voices or taking apart the electronics just to see their insides.
