Truths Untruths
by Payal Sinha

Gazal shifts with her family to a developing mountain town only to fall in love with a quaint hilltop house. The house is beautiful but full of secrets. At first Gazal thinks that she is losing her mind, but some incidents jolt her back to reality and she sets about seeking the truths only to be confronted with the biggest truth of her life.
The book is short and would acquaint you with a friendly dog, a humanoid robot, and few other interesting people. The truth about Ouija board would be revealed while you will get a tour of a small city of India.

Momma Says: 3 stars⭐⭐⭐

Truths Untruths is a thought-provoking story that poses several questions along it's twisting path. I really love the final part of the blurb where so many things are mentioned - a friendly dog, a humanoid robot, a Ouija board - Of course, my inquisitive self had to know what such diverse things had in common. And, no, I won't be giving that explanation here, but the author does bring it together. So, I'll just keep it spoiler-free and say that there are a couple of pretty good twists along the way, and that conclusion was excellent. On the technical side, this one is not without some issues. The writing has the odd phrasing here and there - well, odd to me, but with the difference in culture, I would've been surprised otherwise. I will note that there is some repetition with certain words, most notably the word 'hence' which was used a bit too often throughout the story. Nevertheless, this was an intriguing read, and it's always nice to visit another culture even if it is only within the pages of a story.
