BLOG TOUR for THE LEGENDARY SAGA by L.H. Nicole

The Legendary Sage
by L.H. Nicole
YA Fantasy

Author Bio.jpg
L.H. Nicole is a seasoned Pastry Chef at the happiest place on earth and a
lifelong fairytale (Disney and Grimm) lover. She believes in love at first sight,
is addicted to 80’s & 90’s cartoons and anything that can capture her
ADD-way-to-overactive-imagination. Joan Lowery Nixon and L.J. Smith were
the first authors she became addicted to and who inspired her to steal away
whenever she could to read and write.

Aliana Fagan spent her childhood traveling the world, dreaming of legendary
heroes and mythical lands. But after the sudden death of her parents, she hides
behind the safety of her camera and her art until a vivid recurring dream
compels her to dig into her father’s research about Avalon and Camelot. When
she is hurled into a magical realm by forces she thought were only the stuff of
fairy tales, she finds herself thrown into an adventure she could never have
imagined. Nearly everything she thought she knew about Arthurian legend
was wrong.

The independent eighteen-year-old is shocked to find that the people of Avalon
think that she is the Destined One, the only person who can summon King
Arthur back to life from his hidden chamber. Most surprising of all is that it’s
up to her to lead the Knights of the Round Table on an epic quest–an adventure
that will transport them across the seven magic realms to reclaim all that has
been lost so they can defeat the evil Mordrid for good. But first, she must bring
the ancient warriors into her world and reunite them with their lost brothers.
Chaperoning the legendary knights-with-a-chivalry-complex as they navigate
the modern world is a constant challenge, and she certainly never thought she’d
be caught between her intense feelings for the noble Sir Galahad and her
growing friendship with the King.

To fulfill the prophecy, Aliana will have to discover the meaning of friendship,
bravery, loyalty, true love, and forgiveness. But can she do it all in time to save
the realms from Mordrid’s impending Armageddon?

Blurb.jpg
Aliana Fagan has done what many thought impossible: she’s awakened King
Arthur from his fifteen-hundred-year sleep, reunited the Knights of the Round
Table, and even beaten Mordrid and Morgana LeFay in battle.
But the Destined One’s quest has only begun.

Before the knights can "unearth and reclaim their lost relics" they must survive
the trip to Charleston, South Carolina and meet the newest member of the
Round Table. If King Arthur’s men thought Aliana and Lacy were tenacious,
they'll be even more surprised by Dawn, the third member of the fem-trio.

Deadly secrets, unexpected allies, and a traitor lurking in the shadows await
Aliana and the new Round Table as they continue their search for Excalibur.
Their only clue is a beyond confusing poem from a mysterious book that speaks
of a terrifying creature guarding the legendary sword. Trying to build a
somewhat normal relationship with Sir Galahad adds a whole new level of
complexity to Aliana’s task, especially when several among them suspect the
White Knight may not be wholly himself. Her friendship with King Arthur
grows closer, and when circumstances become intense, he may finally get the
chance with Aliana that he’s been pining for.

Mysteries, legendary quests, and haunting memories will either unite the
members of the New Round Table or fracture their bonds. Aliana and her crew
only have seven months before the planets align and Mordrid can seize the
power he needs to conquer the seven realms. Can the Destined One keep her
new family together and lead Arthur to his destiny of saving the realms? Or
will a centuries-old plot for revenge finally spell the king’s end?

Making a devil’s bargain with a Fae queen is a dangerous thing.

Thrown back to the golden days of Camelot, Aliana needs to find the object that
will lead her and the Knights of the Round Table to the Grail of Power. But
Aliana, the Destined One, must also figure out and complete a mysterious task
before she can return to her own time. The consequences of revealing Camelot’s
future to King Arthur or any member of the Round Table family could be
devastating, and keeping the future a secret becomes harder by the day. She is
forced to keep her secrets, feeling more alone than ever, even with the support
of her new friends and allies. With the unwelcome knowledge of their looming
deaths, will she be able to resist the temptation to save the people she loves?

While she is trying to figure out her purpose for being sent to the past, the
attentions of Sir Galahad and King Arthur continue to be a delightful yet
confusing distraction. Her feelings for Arthur—even this version of him who
doesn’t know her—continue to grow. The sparking sensation she’d normally
felt whenever she touched Sir Galahad is mysteriously missing, but she can’t
deny a continued connection with the protective knight.

Weapons powerful enough to destroy even Excalibur surface, along with a
shadowy figure that even seems to have influence over Mordrid. The time of
the eclipse grows ever closer and everything Aliana thought she knew will once
again be tossed into question as she continues on her legendary quest.

The war is about to begin. Whose colors will you fly as a King rises?

Aliana, Dagg, and the New Round Table are so close. The alignment is only
weeks away. All they need is to find the Grail of Power and unite the seven
realms, but Mordrid is drawing ever closer and victory is far from assured.
All the bonds, questions, and betrayals will come to a head as the new Knights
of the Round Table prepare for the final battle. To win, Aliana will have to do
what hasn't been done in over three millennia: claim the power of the alignment
and use it to either save the realms or raze them to the ground.

Join Aliana, and her family and allies, for the final installment of their
Legendary quest.

Dash
Evie King.
God, even her name leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
I’ve put up with her for years for my best friend, her overprotective older brother, Mason.
I’d grown comfortable in my distaste, reliant on my hatred. But when a favor goes too far and I wake up naked next to my sworn nemesis in a hotel room in Dallas?
That’s when my life begins spiraling out of control.
We swore we’d keep it between us. We vowed to never let it happen again.
Until…
Can you crave and loathe someone at the same time?
I’m about to find out.
It only takes one snowflake to start an avalanche.
Welcome to the avalanche.

Evie
Have you ever met one of those people who just dry humps your last nerve?
Enter Dash Hunter. Humper of my nerves.
Leave it to this jackass to ruin my life.
I’d had it all, but one drunken mistake with this asshole has it all crashing down.
They say everything happens for a reason, but I see no rhyme or reason to this disaster.
This was never what we wanted, not at all what we planned.
We were supposed to do our respective walks of shame and move on, but then…
We were blindsided. We never saw it coming.
All we want is to go back to what made sense, back to hating each other, but there’s a problem.
How do you defeat your enemy when you’re no longer frigid?

Momma Says: 3.5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐

An enemies to lovers romance always makes for a fun read and while I wouldn't go so far as to call this one a romantic comedy, it is amusing and there were some chuckle worthy moments. Most of those moments came from Dash early in the story. It took me some time to warm up to Evie. At first, she came across as an abrasive and spoiled brat, but eventually, I did like this pair together. Knowing there was a part two to this romance, I was curious about a cliffhanger, but for me, this was more a happy for now ending. There are some things left unresolved, and I am curious enough to see how it all comes out, but I wouldn't consider it a huge cliffy. All-in-all, the author does weave an interesting tale and it's certainly worth the read.

Evie
Boy meets girl, they spend a decade at each other’s throats, seething with hatred until fate lands them wasted together in an airport hotel, waking naked and hungover to find they’d done the unthinkable.
Tale as old as time, right?
Dash and I both thought that’d be the happy ending of our dysfunctional fairy tale, but months of bad decisions have somehow led us to where we are now-crazy in love, despite how hard we fought it.
I guess we’d be alright if we hadn’t forgotten one minor detail: We still had to tell my insanely overprotective brother and Dash’s best friend, Mason, the truth about us.
We thought the feelings we had for each other would fade out as quickly as the alcohol, that we could fight fate.
We were wrong.

Dash
Secrets, lies, deception… we should have known from the jump we weren’t smart enough to pull any of it off.
I’m not sure what me and Evie were thinking. Hell, we were so blindsided by all of this, I think it’s safe to say we weren’t thinking at all.
If we had been, we would have moved on before everything went to hell. I should have turned around and ran before I fell for her wicked vagina voodoo, but I didn’t.
What started as the most awkward walk of shame in history with my nemesis shifted into something neither of us saw coming.
We were powerless… hooked… it came for us, slamming into us like a cinder block.
By the time we looked up and saw what was happening, it was too late.
We were already sprung.

Momma Says: 3 stars ⭐⭐⭐

This second book in the Frenemy series wasn't quite what I expected. Sprung has Dash and Evie figuring out the whole relationship thing. While their banter is amusing, it began to feel like that and sex was all they had. This pair was either insulting each other or getting naked, and sometimes both, which is fun for a shorter story, but it leaves little room for romance. The chemistry between Dash and Evie is there in spades, and their emotions came across quite well in Frigid, but seemed to be missing here. Mason acted more like a jealous ex than an over-protective brother and the whole family seems to be keeping secrets. I did like Dash and his big heart even while freaking out about commitment made him an endearing and fun character. This one does have a bigger cliffy than the first book, which I can only imagine will lead to more panic from Dash and hopefully will have Evie growing up a bit. For those that enjoy an amusing, lusty read, this one has plenty of that. The author is talented and the story has its moments, but I did expect a bit more romance from this second in the series.
