This sixth book in the MC Bear Mates series takes us some ways into the future with the offspring of past mates growing up and finding their mates. Being the daughter of leader, Mars, Ava is protected almost to the point of smothering, but even the powerful clan leader can't control the mating bond.
As always, Fanning gives us a fast-paced, exciting read in Chris and Ava's story while also letting us revisit past favorites in the series. The story does focus on the mating and romance of this pair, but it's also about Ava's coming of age and into her own as she learns just how powerful she is and finds her place in the clan. As always, the author gives us plenty of action and intrigue with some interesting plot twists along the way. All-in-all, another entertaining winner in the series.
