Love's Deception Tour and Giveaway

Love's Deception
by DC Renee
Genre: Contemporary Romance

For someone who wasn’t the “dating kind,” he had certainly done a bang-up job of wooing me. Dating, marriage … the whole nine yards. I’d fallen hard. I couldn’t help it. Nolan Corrington was gorgeous, charming, sweet, and he loved me with a passion I’d never felt before. It was inevitable on my end.

He tried to fight his love for me. I was the first girl he ever let in because he’d vowed never to love. He didn’t want the fallout a heartbreak would create. But he said dating me, marrying me, loving me … the whole nine yards was inevitable for him too.

With a love like that, there could be no room for heartbreak, right?

Well, see … that’s the thing about loving someone so hard. You don’t always share everything about yourself, at least not until it’s too late … until the person is so deep inside you that you hope they won’t want to leave. That’s what I like to call love’s deception.

And that’s what Nolan counted on.

What could go wrong? Oh, only everything … only the one thing he feared in the first place … heartbreak. Too bad it wasn’t just a matter of walking away … it was more, a lot more. It was life, death, and everything in between. It was love, and it was deception.

“I meant what I told you at the bar. If I didn’t see you and your
friend turn down every offer made to you, I’d have tried my hand at
getting you back to my place too. Knowing that wouldn’t work, I really
did want to just simply get to know you. That backfired, though.”
“How so?”
“Well, I got to know you,” he said as if that was enough of an
“Okay? And?”
“I liked what I got to know.” I couldn’t help the smile that overtook
my face at his response.
“And now you want in my pants even more, but alas, I’m still
untouchable. Is that it?” I asked with some teasing of my own.
“Just about. See, you’re a relationship type of girl. I mean, you’re
the kind of girl you bring home to meet the family, date for a year,
get engaged to on a boat at sunset, marry surrounded by family and
friends, and then have two kids, maybe three. We’ll say two-point-five
for now.”
“I … uh …” I didn’t know what to say, but Nolan ignored my little
interruption and continued.
“And I’m not the relationship kind of guy. I don’t date. Ever.
I’m the kind of guy who will push you up against the wall the minute
we’re inside the door and hike your skirt up around your waist while
grinding against your hot, wet pussy as my mouth devours yours until
you can’t take it anymore. And only then will I carry you to the bed, lay
you down, glide my tongue along your body until I reach your slit, and
taste you until you scream out my name. Then I’ll slide into you hard
and fast, punishing even, until we both cry out in pleasure. And when
we’re done, I’ll dismiss you and never see you again.” I’d never had
a guy talk dirty to me like, especially not someone I barely knew. I’d
always thought I’d hate it, like it was overdramatic and only sounded
good in books, but suddenly, I wanted nothing more than for Nolan
to use me as he’d just described. I imagined myself in his bed, him
hovering above me as he pushed inside me, and I had to clench my
thighs together.
I was wet after a few short sentences from a man I had met once
“Nolan, I—” He cut me off, and I’m glad he did because I honestly
wasn’t sure what I was going to say after that. “Yes” and “please,” were
looking like very strong candidates.
“So I decided not to call,” he said quietly. “But then I couldn’t stop
thinking about you. And finally, it became too much, and I thought
to myself, maybe I could do a date. One date … at least to see where
things go from there. What do you say?”
“What do I say what?” I was thoroughly confused. Was he asking
me out on a date? The guy who literally just claimed he didn’t date.
“Will you make a dating man out of me, Annalise?”

She published her first book in March of 2014, and it hit the Amazon top 100 list in Contemporary Romance Fiction several times. Naturally, she loves to read! She also loves spending time with her hubby and their new baby girl, as well as her immediate family (in-laws included!). She speaks Russian fluently, and it might come with the territory, but she loves watching hockey. Go Kings! DC is really thankful for all the support she receives from her family, friends and most of all her readers and fans. She hopes you enjoy her books as much as she enjoys writing them.
