With a forked tongue it spat lies, poisoning us against each other.
Its bite was painful, its eyes piercing.
But it wasn't prepared for me and the men who stand by my side.
The betrayal has darkened our hearts, but a bright new dawn is possible if we accept the risks...
Oh, what a twist! I knew there was a traitor nearby, and I think I must've guessed almost everyone at one point or another. So I think I did lean toward this character somewhere along the way, but I certainly didn't expect the whole answer. If Fiona and the council boys are ever going to completely trust and rely on each other, now is the time. The tension is through the roof as allies are gathered and the main players in this twisted game start to get ready for battle.
The men around me, the men who protect me, the men who love me...they won't understand.
They won't accept that it comes down to me, that I'm the only one who can save us.
No matter the cost.
Fiona has been so much stronger and smarter than she realized she could be almost from the very beginning. But sometimes, I'd really like to shake her until her teeth rattle. This is one of those times. Too often, she puts herself in harm's way, most times it's for the right reasons, but that doesn't keep her safe. Now that the traitor has been exposed, it's time for a plan - one that very well may be more perilous than the dangers they already know about. Nevertheless, things are set into motion and Fiona may have some help from a reluctant ally.
Surrounded by people I don't trust, pretending to be something I'm not.
It sounds like my first days at Beast Academy, but this time I'm surrounded by people who wouldn't hesitate to kill me if they knew the truth.
The witches have sworn to help me, but if they don't come through, I'll never see my men again.
I think this one is the most intense in the serial so far, but with that conclusion, I expect even more intensity from whatever is next. Fiona and the guys had a plan, but things don't always work out the way we plan, and with the luck these characters have had, they maybe should've had a backup plan... or two... or three - I'm sure you see where this is going. Anyway, our young heroine is in desperate need of a friend, someone she can trust. I guess we'll have to see if she's trusted the right person in the next part of the story.
