The Manual for Letting Go
by Dr. Eman Yasin
GENRE: Non-fiction, Self-help, Self-improvement
We all have undesired addictions we want to let go of. We try and try, but end up failing again and again. But what if the only reason we are going in endless circles of failure is the method we use to let go? Imagine you have access to an effective manual full of mental and practical exercises, the manual that's gonna help you get rid of your bad habits. Who says we don't have one? Now we do . . .
It's the book that changes the chemical reactions in your brain by reprogramming it. It will cause you to let go of whatever harms you spontaneously, just like taking a course of medicine to let you eventually quit your bad habits effortlessly, and, most importantly, enjoyably. It works very effectively, as this book contains a real story for a specific method with defined exercises and calculated steps. The method has been applied to several people, and it cured them completely.
Exercise 3: Envisioning the Future
Exercise Goal: Positive future imaginations or “spirit ups”
Exercise Time: 20 minutes
Exercise Requirements: A separate, calm place
1. Connect to your soul. Try to reach the relaxation state. Exercise 2 will help you reach it if you’re having difficulties.
2. Travel to the future.
3. Read the following passage and imagine it:
Imagine your feelings of pride and freedom after you are able to manage your smoking addiction. How will you feel and behave when you live a free life without slavery?
Guide your thoughts toward positivity. Enjoy the joy of quitting smoking in your imagination. Think about the health you’ll gain, about your fresh breath, your fragrant hands, your fast motion, your high body energy, your missed deep sleep, your enjoyment of the full efficiency of your senses. Enjoy your taste, smell, hearing, and focused senses that you lost long ago. Studies prove smoking even affects your sexual desires, as smoking displaces oxygen. Think how your face will shine and be free from all the dark spots caused by nicotine and other dangerous chemicals. Imagine the beauty of your smile after your teeth go white and a pleasant smell comes out of your mouth after it was covered in dirty nicotine smell for so long. Feel the jealousy of your smoker friends who wish to be like you and to have your results. Think about how they will come to ask you: “How did you do it? How strong you are!” All of this will create positive energy that will push you toward achieving your goal and realizing your dream.
Live your dream as if you are already a non-smoker. Enjoy it. Use it as hope that you can do whatever it takes to achieve it, instead of exhausting yourself thinking about how hard it is to quit smoking. Then, escape from your dark thoughts.
Live the dream to the fullest, with all its details, joy, and positivity. Make it a dream that you can’t live without, until you start to hate smoking, But you stop it, because you agreed with me at the beginning of this book that you will continue to smoke until the end of this book, even if you wanted to stop.
