✱✱Book Review✱✱ THE COMMANDER by Melanie Moreland

My instincts had always served me well.

Listening to my gut, the warning voice in my head that told me when to walk away.

I never failed to heed the signs.

Until the day she walked into my office.

I knew she would be trouble, but I ignored the alarm bells.

And then it was too late, and I fell. Hard.

A lie tore us apart, and I thought I’d lost her forever.

But now she’s back—with a secret she’s been keeping.

This time, I’m not letting her go.

Momma Says: 5 stars⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

When Melanie Moreland pulls out the feels, she doesn't play around. Julian and Tally had me from word one. This is one of those books that I wanted to take my time with, soaking it all in, and at the same time, I couldn't read fast enough. I absolutely couldn't get enough of this couple. Julian and Tally have terrific chemistry and their passion is almost palpable. Of course, that's the Melanie Moreland way, and I wouldn't have expected any less, but there's just something about this couple. I've enjoyed The Men of Hidden Justice thoroughly, and I've loved every couple, but this is, hands down, my absolute favorite. We're told the story in two parts, so we get this couple's history, we know what caused the rift. We also get the full impact of their feelings for each other, so there's no doubt a second chance is coming. The journey for Tally and Julian is a bit twisty, but it's full of emotion and completely unputdownable. If you haven't read this trilogy, I highly recommend it. These characters have become like friends, and I'll definitely be visiting them from time to time.
