✱✱Audio Book Review✱✱ The Watcher by Melanie Moreland

The Watcher
Men of Hidden Justice, Book 4
By: Melanie Moreland
Narrated by: Maxine Mitchell & John Lane

Because love can bleed into the darkest heart

To the world, I’m Damien DeSalvo, businessman. I own a security company, ensuring the safety of my clients.

But behind the scenes, I’m known as the Watcher.

I stay hidden, overseeing the secrecy of Hidden Justice—those who rid the world of its scum, one bad guy at a time.

Until the day she stumbles into my path, and one kiss changes everything.

Stalked and terrified, Raven Bailey needs my protection.

I need her. Can I find the man threatening the woman I love before he finds her?

We’re playing a dangerous game of cat and mouse.

And I’m determined to win.

Momma Says: 5 stars⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Well, Melanie Moreland has done it again! Every time I think I've found my favorite couple in one of her series, she ups her game and proves me wrong. So, what I'll say is Damien and Raven are my favorite Men of Hidden Justice couple - SO FAR. Honestly, all 4 couples have been as swoony as swoony gets. These guys only know one way to love: completely. And once they make that commitment, they'll do anything to protect her. Of course, that's just too bad for the maniac with his sights set on Raven. Stalkers are a special kind of creepy, and I'll admit there were a couple of times while reading this one that I shut the curtains. (You know, just to make sure!) With that, I guess I really don't have to tell you that The Watcher has some tense moments, and that tension steadily rises to a boiling point. And that's just the suspense part of this one. The romance is sweet, steamy, and well, Damien and Raven just make me smile. I also got to catch up a little with the past couples in the series, which is always a treat. So, if you haven't met The Men of Hidden Justice yet, you really need to. This one can technically be read as a standalone, but once you've fallen into this world, you'll be wanting more.
Now take all of that and combine it with narration by John Lane and Maxine Mitchell, and you've got a winner all the way around. I read The Watcher just days before listening to the audiobook, and even though it was all still fresh in my mind, Lane and Mitchell still manage to make it feel fresh and new. I'm never disappointed with these narrators, and when they have such a terrific author to work with, it's an unbeatable listen.
