Strangers in Love A Decker Family Novel

Somehow Everlasting, Book 2 By: Claudia Burgoa Narrated by: Joe Arden & Stephanie Nemeth-Parker

USA Today best-selling author Claudia Burgoa finishes an emotional rock-star romance duet where second chances between soul mates could make the difference between love and loss.

Karma is a...she’s not nice.

It’s been 10 long years since Jacob and I parted ways.

I moved on.... Well, at least I thought I did.

That was until I’m asked to clean the image of Jacob Decker.

Rock star, playboy, womanizer JC Decker.

He’s spoiled, rude, and inappropriate.

I shouldn’t take the job, but I need the money.

I swallow my pride and work for him.

Closely.

Too close.

That’s when I uncover the wounds he hides.

The scars underneath his dismissive attitude.

And his shattered heart.

Can I just walk away when I’m about to find the man I once loved?

Strangers in Love is the conclusion of the highly angsty Somehow Everlasting novel duet.

Momma Says: 5 stars⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Holy Moly, talk about angst. Jacob and Pria absolutely broke my heart, and I'm really glad that ten years apart wasn't in real-time. I couldn't have stood the wait. This second in the Somehow Everlasting Duet tugs at all the heartstrings. Jacob and Pria so obviously love each other, but they've both got some things to work through first. Jacob has his share of problems, and his head isn't always in the right place, but I love that we get to see some of that sweet guy he was as he starts figuring things out. And Pria, you can't help but hurt for Pria. She's had so many hard hits in her life with so many reasons to become jaded, but she's as lovable as Jacob. We also get to visit with the rest of the family, which is a nice little bonus to an already great story.
Strangers in Love has a higher angst level than the first book, but most of it comes from the growing pains Jacob and Pria have to go through to get to that happy ever after they so deserve. So, yes, we have lots of angst accompanied by lots of tears, and at times, I really wanted to shake the daylights out of both of them. It was also worth all of it. Jacob and Pria are one of those couples that stay with you, one that you'll want to visit over and over again.
Now, pair all of that with the wonderful narration of Joe Arden and Stephanie Nemeth-Parker. There's no shortage of feels in Strangers in Love, and every single one comes through loud and clear. If you've never had the pleasure of listening to the performance given by either of these narrators, this duet is a good place to start. I can't imagine Jacob or Pria any other way. The terrific writing and equally terrific narration make this duet one of my favorites.
