✱✱Audio Book Review✱✱ Flame by Adriana Locke

Flame
Carmichael Family Series, Book 5
By: Adriana Locke
Narrated by: CJ Bloom & Teddy Hamilton

RSVP to my Marriage of Convenience

I swore I would only get married if my life depended on it. Oh, the irony.

Many things have happened over the past few weeks that I didn’t see coming. My family imploded. Our business was turned upside down. And someone threatened to harm me if I didn’t make good on my father’s promises.

But the biggest thing I didn’t see coming?

Foxx Carmichael demanding marriage.

He’s doing it out of loyalty to my brother. I know that. But I can’t help but think if, through that deliciously hot, grumpy exterior, my bodyguard doesn’t have ulterior motives.

There’s no denying the fire in his touch or the heat in his blue eyes. He protects me with a ferocity that leaves me breathless. He makes me rethink many things I thought I knew for sure—like my position on marriage.

But how we dance around our fake relationship makes me wonder what part of this is pretend. None of it matters if he doesn’t admit he feels the same way.

Our sham wedding will fall apart as soon as the threat is contained. But what happens if the flames between us burn everything to the ground first?

Momma Says: 5 stars⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

If you're looking for a swoony romance, Flame delivers, but that's just the start of what you'll find in this fifth book in the Carmichael Family Series. Foxx and Bianca have some crazy sexual tension, and their banter is sometimes hilarious and sometimes sexy. Seriously, these two are hot enough to set the curtains on fire even before they seal the deal, so to speak - makes the title pretty appropriate, right?
Then we get to catch up with the rest of the Carmichaels, and these siblings are laugh out loud hilarious. And their parents! I think I love their parents as much as any of the siblings. I'm just gonna throw it out there that if the Carmichaels are looking for an addition to the family, I volunteer as tribute. That's the beauty of Adriana Locke's characters. Her writing pulls you in, and pretty soon, you feel like you know everyone.
CJ Bloom and Teddy Hamilton give voice to these characters, and they do it excellently. All the feels, the laughs, and the swoons come through so well that you feel them right along with the characters.
So, if you enjoy romance that keeps you smiling, laughing, and swooning, Adriana Locke is a sure bet, and Flame is just one more in a whole series of must-reads. It's even got a bit of danger to go along with the romance.
