Momma Says: 5 out 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Demon Tracker is very well written in third person POV and fits wonderfully into the Urban Fantasy genre. It is part of an ongoing series, so I recommend reading them in order. While there is mention of sex, it's not 'on the page' so there's no steam. There is violence and it does get quite graphic, so I would advise discretion on age appropriateness.
While the
Divine Syndicate is working to prevent an outbreak of demons, vampires are
disappearing and turning up as corpses.
The Union of
Justice is known for tracking and serving justice on vampires. With the
increase in departed vamps spiraling out of control, the UoJ’s top field agent,
Zale, and his partner must switch from their normal job to investigate the
remains of destroyed vampires. Identifying those responsible is proving to be a
big challenge. Zale needs the assistance of the vamp community, only they have
their own idea of ending the bloodshed. They want to kill demons. But murdering
humans, possessed or not, is against the law. Complicating matters, neither
vampires nor the UoJ trust each other. Mankind’s future is dependent upon
vampires and vice versa, but both are at stake as the demon population grows.
Zale will do anything to save lives and end the madness, even if it means
working with the one species he’s chased his entire career.

Book two in the Divine Justice series introduces Zale. He's tough, sexy, compassionate, and determined. Oh, and did I mention that he's a werewolf? Yep, a sexy werewolf who hunts down rogue vampires. Zale certainly doesn't trust the vampires (with good reason), but now it looks like he's going to have to work with them to prevent more bloodshed by the demons, which, in turn, protects the humans. So, the vampires need the werewolves, the humans need the vampires, and everybody needs the demons to be gone. (That's all the spoiler you get!)
The Divine Justice world gets a little bigger with the introduction of the UoJ and we learn a bit more about each race and their role in society - and they do have roles. They work, have friends and family, go out for a drink, etc - perfectly normal things that we all do, only behind that normalcy lies supernatural beings that live on blood, or shift into a werewolf, or maybe even cast a spell or two. That's the thing about these characters, as you read, you can picture these "normal" people passing you on the street or even living next door. They're all interesting in their own right, even the annoying Ray with his complaining and prejudices.
Overall, Demon Tracker is witty, engaging, loaded with action and suspense, and absolutely unputdownable!
