I'm a big fan of dark romance and Nikki Chase, so when I could get the two combined in My Brother's Friend, the Dom, I was thrilled!
I started out with good intentions, I swear. I promised my best friend I’d protect his sister from a dark secret. Then I see her—all grown up, gorgeous, and completely off-limits. I try to stay away... until I find out just how bad she's been.
Screw protection. What she really needs is punishment.
The first time I met Sarah Ellis, she was a wide-eyed eighteen-year-old who asked for a tattoo on her wrist. So I gave her that... then I checked to see if she had ink anywhere else on that delicious little body. Let’s just say she left a happy customer.
But Sarah made it clear that it was just a one-night stand. She was leaving town for college.
Then, unexpectedly, I met her brother and we hit it off. Peter and I bonded over a few joints and some painting supplies, and soon we were having a full-blown bromance.
Unfortunately, Peter's gone now. But he gave me one task before he went away: protect his little sister from a deep, dark secret.
I said yes, naturally. I’d keep an eye on her. Anything for my best friend.
It’s been five years since I last saw Sarah. She's a woman now, with ripe curves and a graceful elegance. The sight of her makes me wish I could have her in my chair again, moaning and quivering in ecstasy.
I try to keep my dirty hands off her. But when she posts on a kinky website, looking for a dominant master, I can’t just sit on my hands. She’s putting herself in danger. I have to step in.
So I send her a message—anonymously, of course. I tell her I’m the Dom she’s been looking for. I tell her I’m going to inflict exquisite pain on her body and give her unimaginable pleasure. I know exactly what to say... because dark urges have been haunting me, too.
I’m not really going to do any of those depraved things to Sarah, though. She deserves better. I just want to show her she’s playing a dangerous game and convince her to live with me, at least temporarily. For her own safety.
But who am I kidding? That's bullsh*t. I just want her all to myself. The sweet submission in her eyes calls out to the darkness within me. And it’s only a matter of time until I cave.
Momma Says: 5 out 5 stars⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Holy Moly, this book is hot - scorching hot! I've been a fan of this author for some time, and this book is just one more reason why. Sarah and Luca's story is a second chance romance, and it's deliciously dark and at times, absolutely heart-wrenching. Chase pulls out all the feels as she goes down the dark path of addiction and loss, but there's also hope and sweetness in this love story. And make no mistake, it is erotic and twisted at times, but it is, more than anything, a love story - love of family, love of friends, and love of that one person who can see your darkest parts and and still loves you back. There's an air of mystery about Luca and his motives, and he often comes across as a not so great guy, but there's also a sweetness that comes through when you least expect it. He and Sarah are so good together, both in the bedroom and out, and I couldn't help but root for their happily ever after. All in all, another great read from this author.
** I received an ARC from the author and enjoyed this one so much that I also bought a copy.
My Brother's Friend, the Dom is available on Amazon and is listed in Kindle Unlimited.
