✱✱ Book Review ✱✱ Mark's Passionate Heart by Marcia Carrington

Mark's Passionate Heart
Mark's Heart Book 1
by Marcia Carrington

Handsome Mark Allan is new in town, seeking change in his life as incidents from his past have made life in his former town unbearable. His seemingly charming, and relaxed manner hides a passionate heart, which seeks to experience love, and happiness, at any cost. Mark enters the lives of two beautiful women, each exposing a different side to him, but their lives will be changed forever, and things for them will never again be the same...

Mark's Heart is a two-part series of romance novelettes with part one being MARK'S PASSIONATE HEART and its sequel MARK'S RAVISHING HEART.

Momma Says: 4 stars⭐⭐⭐⭐

To say that Mark's story intrigues me would be an understatement, and I'm still wondering where it will go even after turning that last page. The story starts with a kiss from a stranger and I thought I knew where it would go from there, but then we get a wild twist that has it teetering just on the edge of taboo - something that, in my opinion, makes it that much more delicious. The book moves at a steady pace and easily finished in one sitting. The only drawback for me was the continuous use of "said" throughout the dialogue. When only two people are talking, it isn't hard to keep up with who is saying what, so while the clarification is good in some cases, it was a bit distracting here. Nevertheless, the story did hold my interest and as it is the first part of a continuing story, we do get a cliffhanger. Fair warning, it's one of those, oh no, it can't stop here, I have to know what happens next kind of cliffys. Considering where it left off, I now have to know what comes next for Mark and his romantic endeavors.
