Hell Yeah!: PHATT Farm
Kindle Worlds Novella
Smoke, Inc. Book 4
by Gem Sivad
FBI agent Mackenzie Sierra Scott grimly anticipates six weeks of mindless boredom as she and her dog travel to Phatt Farm. Not realizing the full extent of her aversion toward dieting, her handler has stashed her at an off-the-grid weight loss center. Until she testifies at the trial of a killer, she'll be in-hiding, one healthnut among many.
Upon meeting resident farmer, Eazy Phatt, Mack thinks of many ways they can burn calories together. And from his immediate attention, she knows he feels the attraction too. When Eazy invites her to help him with farm work as an alternative to a daily regime of yoga and pushups, she accepts, picturing hours of gratuitous sex.
Hot body aside, there's nothing easy about Eazy. Instead of becoming her lover, he turns Mack into a farmhand, keeping her busy driving tractor, stacking hay, picking apples, shucking corn, and somewhere along the way, falling in love. And that all happens before the shooting starts.

Momma Says: 3 stars⭐⭐⭐
PHATT FARM is a fast-paced, engaging read that is full of giggles and chemistry. Coming in at just over an hour's read time, it's perfect for a quick afternoon or bedtime tale.
Eazy is a sexy, ex-military man working on the family farm while he figures out his life and Mack is there hiding out from danger in her real life. There is instant attraction from their very first meeting, but Eazy does come off as a bit hot and cold at times. Mack and Eazy do fall in love quite fast, which wouldn't have bothered me if it weren't for Eazy's gruff attitude one minute and flirtations the next. There is reason for this, but I felt like we got more of that information from the blurb than in the story, although there is a twist toward the end that gives us even more insight into Eazy's actions. We also get some suspense stemming from Mack's job as a forensic accountant, but it's more of a side story once she gets to the farm.
Overall, the story is an entertaining read, loosely related to the author's Smoke, Inc world, which I've really enjoyed. I would've preferred a bit more development on the romance, but we still get some interesting characters and fun banter in an easy to read story.
