by
Nicole Coverdale
Genre:
Paranormal Urban Fantasy
For
as long as the earth has been afloat, demons, witches, Gods, and
angels have walked among us. Unknown to the human world, and now the
time has come for four sisters to embrace a destiny…
Josslyn,
Jade, and Julie Morgan never imagined magic was real. That is until
they visited their grandmother’s grave. Now a journal their
deceased mother left for them, a symbol they all know too well, and
an earthquake in Minnesota has them all believing in the
impossible…
They’re
witches. Good witches, destined to keep the human world safe from the
demonic forces that plague mankind, and now they have powers. Magical
powers. Josslyn can freeze time, Jade can control electrical forces,
and Julie can see the future. But, another surprise awaits them.
Jasmine Nichols, a young woman who looks the spitting image of their
mother. She’s their sister, and she can move things with her
mind.
Adjusting
to their new life as witches, coming to grips with the fact they have
another sister, and to control their newfound powers the sisters find
themselves on a trip to the past to get answers. But as they search
for answers… an even greater threat is coming. The demonic world
now knows about them, and they want one thing. Their powers.
“Did you hear something?” Josslyn asked.
“Yeah. Like a loud boom!” Julie cried, racing into the kitchen. “Where is she?”
“Ahh… I think I might know,” Jade said, pointing to the book on the counter. “I think she cast the time travel spell.”
“What! Why would she do that?”
“Because I gave her the idea.”
“What!”
Josslyn and Julie swung toward Jade.
“Why the hell would you do that?” Julie shouted.
“Who knows where she went!” Josslyn added. “Jade, we know nothing about this book, about these spells, or even our powers for that matter! We’re all in unchartered territory!”
“Which is exactly why we have to stick together,” Jade said.
“Look, here’s the spell. We can follow her.”
“How?”
“By our blood,” Jade said. “Our blood is what links us, and if we add our blood to the potion, maybe it will bring us to her.”
“Maybe?” Julie shook her head. “No way! Maybe is not good enough. We don’t even know how to get back. There’s no spell to bring us back!”
“That’s just a risk we’re going to have to take,” Josslyn said. “I may not be too eager to go face demonic creatures who want to kill us, but I do know that she’s our sister. We only just found her, we can’t lose her now.”
“Agreed.” Jade handed them each a knife. “On the count of three?”
“One… two… three.”
Once
Upon a Hallow's Eve
The
Wiccan Way Book 2
On
all Hallow’s Eve, as Josslyn, Jade, Julie, and Jasmine look to have
a good ole time at the annual masquerade party, someone is planning
to take away the very happy endings they grew up with…
Life
has been anything but easy for Josslyn, Jade, Julie, and Jasmine ever
since they found out they were witches. After an epic showdown with
Satan four months ago, things are finally slowing down. Jade has
gotten her bar and restaurant up and running. Both Julie and Jasmine
have gone back to school. Josslyn… she’s still struggling with
what she wants to do with her life. But as Halloween rolls up, they
all know one thing. They want to have a good time!
Little
do they know an evil witch is threatening to ruin their four-month
hiatus from the demonic world. Sucking them each into a different
fairytale. Fairytales, whose endings have been altered. Now it’s up
to Josslyn, Jade, Julie, and Jasmine to right the fairytales before
happy endings cease to exist.
“Can I have this dance?”
Josslyn turned from where she was still standing in the doorway. Eyeing the man in front of her, his face hidden by a white and red colored mask. She shrugged. “What the hell? It is a party after all.” She laid her hand in his, and they headed toward the dance floor.
“You do look beautiful,” the man said, as they swayed to the music. He placed his hands on her hips, and Josslyn sighed, staring up at him. I’ve missed this, she thought, wrapping her fingers around his strong shoulders. Being free. Having fun. Being wild. Ever since Tyler had left, she’d felt nothing like herself. That was going to change.
“Thank you,” she said, as he spun her in a circle. She laughed, twirling back to him. “And thank you for the dance. It was quite nice of you.”
“What can I say? I needed a dance with the ice queen before she disappears forever.”
“Wait. What?” Josslyn stumbled back, jerking free from the man’s grip. “Who are you?”
The man just smiled. “Oh, I think you know.”
“Demon.” Josslyn narrowed her eyes, lifting her hands and freezing the room.
“What the…” Jade, Julie, Sky, and Jasmine all jerked toward her. “Josslyn, what the hell?”
“Demon!” Josslyn shouted, whipping her mask off and pointing to the man standing in front of her.
“Well, well, well, if it isn’t the four lovely sisters, and their lovely angel.” The demon drew his mask off, his pale, white face glimmering under the low light as his small, yellow eyes leered at them. “It’s nice to see you all, the ones who took out Satan. Not that he was much of a challenge. He was dying, after all.”
“Are you always this rude to your superiors?” Jade asked, crossing her arms in front of her chest. “Satan might have been dying, but he was still powerful. More powerful than you, I’m guessing. Who are you?”
“Just the messenger… that’s going to send you on a lovely trip.”
“A trip?” Jade lifted her hand, a ball of energy appearing in her palm. “I think the only one going anywhere, is you.” She threw the energy ball toward him.
“Jade, Jade, Jade. You really are a spitfire, aren’t you?” The demon asked, disappearing in a flash, and reappearing behind her. He wrapped his hand around her throat, leaning in close. “I may not be as powerful as Satan, Jade, but I know all about you four. What makes you tick. Nah uh.” He lifted his hand, freezing Josslyn, Julie, Jasmine and Sky in place as they started to run toward them.
“H-how did you do that?” Jade gasped out, wincing as his fingers dug into her throat.
“I’ve got a few tricks up my sleeve,” the demon said, laughing. “I’m a trickster, Jade, and Halloween is my favorite time of year. Plus, my master has been studying you four, for months now. You threaten her, and she wants you gone so that she can control the underworld.” He smiled. “Have a nice ride, ladies and gentleman.” He snapped his fingers, the ground giving away underneath them. “Where happy endings cease to exist.”
Crossroads
The
Wiccan Way Book 3
When
light and dark collide, one sister must make a choice that could
change their lives… forever.
In
the wake of the tragedy that struck on Halloween night, Josslyn,
Jade, Julie, and Jasmine are shocked to learn the truth about Sky. He
has no heart—someone stole it and now they are bound to get it
back. When Jade, Jasmine, and Sky embark on a trip to the heavens to
find his heart, they realize things are not as they seem. Black
angels have taken over the heavens and they want one thing—Jasmine
and Sky dead.
But
the heavens have a silver lining. A psychic, who is tasked with
helping Jade find the answers to the questions she seeks by taking
her on a journey to her past, present, and future. What she sees
changes everything, but time is running out. For she can only focus
on one thing… the threat to the future.
For
down on earth, something has gone terribly wrong. For the underworld
has risen to the surface and one sister has turned to the dark side.
“Nice to meet you Julie,” the reverend said closing his hand over hers. “So, what brings you to the church today?” He frowned. “Wait a minute. I recognize you, don’t I? You used to come to mass every Sunday, didn’t you?”
Julie smiled. “Good memory. I did.”
“You were in a bad accident if I recall. Your sister used to bring you. Jade, was that her name?”
Julie nodded. “Again, good memory. Yes, except I believe I wasn’t able to walk back then.”
“You’re right. You were in a wheelchair,” the reverend said. “I’m glad to see you’ve recovered.”
“Me too.”
“But why haven’t I seen you, Julie? It’s been years!”
“I know,” Julie said, a little embarrassed that the reverend remembered her so well. “I’ve had a lot going on.”
“Everyone always has a lot going on.”
“And I guess, you could say that I kind of lost my faith,” Julie said, ducking her head, hating that the words had come out of her mouth. “I’ve lost so much, Reverend. There’s been so much death in my life. My Mom. My Dad. My grandparents. My sister just nearly died. It seems like I’m surrounded by death.”
“Death is a part of life, Julie. It’s the whole circle of life.”
“I know that, but what I don’t understand, is why God never answers me! I used to pray so much, Reverend, but I never got an answer to any of my questions. To any of my concerns. Why is that?”
“I wish I had the answers for you, Julie,” the reverend said, turning, and gazing at the mural on the wall. Staring at the image of Jesus. “But all I can tell you, is that the lord works in mysterious ways, and even though you don’t hear him, he is listening, Julie. He’s there, giving you an ear to talk to. He’s there in the wind. In the sun. He’s there in the smallest of ways and I promise you, he’s there with you while you walk your journey of life.”
“I hope you’re right,” Julie whispered, walking down the aisle. She heard the reverend walking behind her, and she stopped at the candles at the front of the room. She lit the match, staring up at the cross lying on the wall in front of her. “One for each life I’ve lost,” she whispered, lighting the candle. “For Jillian, my mother, who was taken from me before I could ever really know her. For my father, bless his soul, he was our protector. For Juliette and Jeremiah, who took care of us when our parents couldn’t. And for me.”
“Why you?”
“Because, I’m afraid I’m evil.”
