Title: The Real Devil: Journal One
Author: Stacie Santoro
Genre: Urban Fantasy
A peacekeeper.
A fallen angel.
The CEO of Hell.
And she takes her role as an older sister very seriously.
With a younger brother who causes chaos as much as hers, it’s a full-time job. So, when chaos turns into serious trouble, the fight to save him becomes a little more . . . complicated.
This time, little brother Lucifer, the one and only, has decided to take up with Mother Nature—a woman who happens to be [fill in the blank with any expletive] crazy—and it’s causing worldwide weather imbalances.
When the higher-ups notice, Vahla is tasked with breaking up the happy (spelled R-E-C-K-L-E-S-S) couple before her brother finds himself in a situation not even she can get him out of.
Only, nothing is as simple as it should be when supernaturals are involved . . .
Even when you are the real devil.
Momma Says: 4 stars⭐⭐⭐⭐
Such a fun read! Crude, but crazy fun! The Real Devil gives voice to the idea of Mother Nature being emotionally unstable at best or completely certifiable. I know I've voiced that very thought more than once with the crazy weather we've had in my neck of the woods. This one takes everything I've ever read about the devil, angels, and Hell in general and twists it into something completely new. It's full of snark and wit, which is always a plus for me. It's also completely over the top, but given the premise, it just works. The story isn't all fun and games, there are parts that some may find disturbing, and there's some danger to be dealt with, but mostly, this one is a refreshing take on the devil and what she's capable of.
Stacie Santoro lives with her family in New York, in the town where she was born and raised. She is the mom to three amazing boys and wife to a great man (who swept her off her feet with his basketball skills). When she’s not running with her family, you can find her enjoying a glass of wine or cup of tea, reading a book or daydreaming about a million things; like stories to write, putting her toes in the sand or owning every lip gloss created. Or maybe having one created just for her.
She’s also smiling big from the release of her debut novel, The Real Devil; Journal One.
