From New York Times best-selling author, Corinne Michaels, comes a new heartwarming standalone romance.
I'm getting really good at cutting my losses.
First, the husband. Divorcing him was the best decision I ever made. But between single-parenting and job-hunting, I can't catch my breath. When a celebrity blogging position falls into my lap, I'm determined to succeed.
That is, until I get my first assignment and actually see Noah Frazier for the first time...practically naked and dripping wet. My heart races and I forget how to form complete sentences. His chiseled abs, irresistible smirk, and crystal blue eyes are too perfect to be real. So, what do I do? Get drunk and humiliate myself, of course.
I'm ready to forget the awkward night, yet Noah has no intention of allowing me to move on. Instead, he arranges for me to write a feature on him, ensuring a lot more time together. One embarrassing moment after another, one kiss after another, and before I can stop myself, I realize - I'm falling in love with him.
But when the unthinkable happens, can I even blame him for cutting his losses?
What I wouldn't give for just one last time....
Momma Says: 5 stars⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
One Last Time is my first listen by Corinne Michaels, and now I'm wondering just what took me so long. It's everything a great romance should be - romantic, sexy, witty, and has a couple you just can't help but root for. Noah and Kristin are terrific characters, and the chemistry between them is off the charts. Noah is positively swoon-worthy, and he and Kristin complement each other so well. Then we get a couple of sweet kiddos that hit ya right in the feels, and the fact that they have Noah so thoroughly wrapped around their fingers is just too darn sweet. The story does have a bit of angst, and it wasn't hard to see it coming, but it all works for the story.
Of course, this is the audiobook, and this one has a couple of great voices. If I had to close my eyes and just listen to what these characters sound like, I don't believe I could've imagined anyone better than Andi Arndt and Sebastian York. Both narrators breathe life into Kristin and Noah, and they do it wonderfully. Sebastian York sounds as sexy as I see Noah in my head, and Andi Arndt sounds exactly as I'd expect Kristin to sound - from the not at all sure of herself, newly single mom to seeing herself through Noah's eyes - Kristin's growth comes through loud and clear.
All in all, One Last Time is a completely engaging sweet and sexy romance. This may be my first experience with Michaels, but it definitely won't be my last.
