✱✱Audio Book Review✱✱ Runaway Fate by Elizabeth Hunter

Runaway Fate
A Paranormal Women's Fiction Novel
By: Elizabeth Hunter
Narrated by: Ava Lucas
Series: Moonstone Cove, Book 1
Publisher: Recurve Press LLC

It’s paranormal women’s fiction for lovers of magic, mayhem, and a solid afternoon nap (when they can squeeze one in.)

Katherine wasn’t looking for anything extraordinary in her life. She had a job she loved, a husband she adored, and a home in the beautiful seaside town of Moonstone Cove.

Okay, yes, she worked too much and had fallen out of touch with all her friends, but that happened to everyone, right? And sure, she was feeling a little creaky in the mornings and couldn’t drink coffee after noon, but that was just life in middle age.

Four minutes was all it took for fate to run away with anything that resembled normal.

Now Katherine is trying to place mysterious psychic visions into her previously ordered life. She’s playing referee between a displaced Southern mama and a sarcastic mechanic with a chip on her shoulder. And her quiet life has been upended by a mysterious rash of violent acts by students at her school.

Thankfully, her new friends have powers of their own, and together they just might discover who or what has it in for the quiet citizens of Moonstone Cove.

Runaway Fate is the first book in the hot new paranormal women’s fiction series, Moonstone Cove by USA Today best-selling author, Elizabeth Hunter.

Momma Says: 5 stars⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

There are plenty of things to like about Runaway Fate - the fast-paced and wonderfully written story, the paranormal, the mystery, the dialogue, the narrator, the characters - but my favorite thing to like is a heroine who is all grown up. Katherine is 45 and trying to figure out what's happening to her as well as how to tell her no-nonsense husband that she's having psychic visions. There's also a mystery to solve, so it's a good thing she's got Toni and Megan to help navigate their new reality. I enjoyed the camaraderie between these woman and how they're there for each other. Then there's Katherine's relationship with Baxter. These two have such a good relationship, and when she finally tells him about her visions is one of my favorite parts of the book. Ava Lucas narrates this first in the Moonstone Cove series, and she's a joy to listen to. She captures the emotion and mystery of the storyline wonderfully, and she keeps every voice distinctive.
Elizabeth Hunter is pretty new to me, but the more I see of her talent, the more I want to see. She's created a terrific group of characters here, and I can't wait to see where this series goes from here.
