The Cabin at Candy Cane Lane is a quick read, but it's not without the feels. I don't want to give too much away, especially since it's such a quick read, so suffice it to say that both Holly and Lucas have things to work through. They've both suffered a loss - different kinds but still a loss - and they're really at different places in the journey of moving on. That doesn't mean they can't find comfort in each other. The romance is blissfully low angst, which I always appreciate in a Christmas romance. It does have some steamy goodness, and it's kind of an instalove romance and kind of not since Holly and Lucas knew each other, which then moves into second chance romance. Either way, it's fast-paced and a good way to while away a couple hours, curled up in your favorite chair with your drink of choice - and if you have a Christmas tree twinkling nearby, so much the better.
