✱✱ Book Review ✱✱ Patricia's Holiday Affair by Marcia Carrington

Patricia's Holiday Affair
by Marcia Carrington

Freshly divorced fifty-something Patricia has decided to pack up her woes, and take a holiday to an island resort to save her sanity. At the resort she meets a mysterious young man who is interested in her, despite their age difference, and Patricia entertains light thoughts of becoming involved with him, despite being on the rebound from her adulterous husband. Is this handsome young man all that he appears to be, or is he hiding something which may destroy Patricia's life forever?

Momma Says: 4 stars⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is my first read by Marcia Carrington, and I have to say what she lacks in word count, she certainly makes up for in story. This one starts out as what appears to be a typical older woman/younger man fling that could develop into something more. I knew from the blurb that Cole would have secrets, and the author gives us just enough to keep the interest piqued without giving it all away. As Patricia and Cole's time together progresses, I found myself making a number of guesses about the conclusion. I won't go into those here to avoid any spoilers, but none of my guesses prepared me for the jaw-dropping conclusion. All in all, Ms Carrington has crammed a bit of romance, a whole lot of suspense, and even a lesson about consequences to our actions in an entertaining tale that can be easily finished in one sitting.
