Everything
About You
Brighton
Cove Series Book 1
by
Jamie Salisbury
Genre:
Contemporary Romance
Audrey
Cooper has good memories Brighton Cove, Maine. She just hopes the
quiet, coastal village holds enough of them to silence the echoes of
the living hell she endured as a captive in the Middle East. Her
career as a journalist is over, but maybe—someday—she can
convince her terrified muse to come out of hiding.
As
she renovates the farmhouse she inherited from her grandparents, with
her cat as her sole companion, she learns to live with the
loneliness…until the day a handsome stranger with dark, haunted
eyes helps her change a flat tire.
As
an artist, widower Lincoln Stewart has an eye for detail, and there’s
no missing that unmistakable spark of connection. In Audrey’s
company, two years of grief ease into bittersweet memory, and he
finds himself envisioning a future as colorful as his paintings. A
future with Audrey.
Through
violent thunderstorms and terrifying flashbacks, Audrey and Linc
discover their broken pieces fit perfectly—in and out of the
bedroom. But in the shadows, a very real threat lurks. Someone who’ll
stop at nothing to burn their rediscovered dreams to the ground.

How did I even explain to my sister, let alone anyone else that I wanted to be alone. The farm was going to allow me to fulfill some dreams of my own. Perhaps I'd regain the urge to write again.
"Please don't tell me you've pitched a tent or are living in the house."
"No, I bought a RV. Picked it up in Bangor and drove it to the farm. The contractor I hired leveled an out of the way spot. One where that old guest cottage had once been." I wouldn't go into the details of RV life. Meg probably wouldn't understand anyway. She had always been a hotel sort of gal.
"Wow! I suppose that'll work until winter sets in."
"It will, and if the house isn't finished, I'll figure something else out."
We were still standing in the center of the shop. I began walking around gazing at the various pieces of pottery, and other locally crafted items.
"Have you eaten lunch yet?"
"No. Like I said, I got the RV set up with the help of a couple of the construction workers. Got Harry settled in and came to town in search of supplies and food."
"Harry?"
"Yeah, Prince Harry." I watched my younger sister as she tried to process the information. Before the Middle East, I had been known for my humor and shock tactics. Perhaps I still had it.
"Prince Harry?"
"My cat, Meg. He's a marmalade Persian. Sort of a red-head like the real Prince Harry. He was a gift after I met the real Harry."
"You met Prince Harry?" Her mouth gaping open and her blue eyes were almost bugging out of her head in disbelief.
"Yeah. At a reception at the embassy in London honoring military and civilian's who'd been captured."
"Was he nice? Was he as handsome as he looks in pictures?"
"Yes, nicer and more handsome in person. Now does your offer of lunch still stand or do I need to find something elsewhere?"
"Let me tell Linda I'm leaving. Linda Stallings. She helps me."
I nodded my head and headed to the door. I wasn't ready to meet anymore people today. A quiet lunch with Meg was enough. Afterwards it was off to get groceries and supplies, then head back to the farm.
