Disclaimer
This book contains Awkward’s awkward tales and drawings, and there’s no doubt that a three- year- old can draw better than Awkward. This book could make you cringe with awkwardness or it could melt your heart. The chances of the latter happening are minute. Read at your own risk.

** Comedy topped with a whole lot of awkwardness and a tiny-winy bit of romance.**

Momma Says: 4 stars⭐⭐⭐⭐

Admittedly, it's been some time since I was a 17-year old, trying to fit in, but many of Awkward's chapters brought back memories of myself in similar awkward situations. The author does a good job of showing some of those situations that are so hard to navigate as a 17-year old, and sometimes even as an adult. I can think of plenty of awkward moments that I've found myself in even as recently as yesterday, so that predicament isn't reserved for the young. The story is a bit simplistic, and it feels more like a story for a teenager, but it does have a certain charm about it. The book is a quick read, easily finished in less than an hour, and while it may be a little out of the norm for me, it's good to step outside the box every now and then, and this was a pretty good way to do that.
