Pet Posts: The Cat Chats
by Debbie de Louise
Genre: Nonfiction, Pets

Ever wonder what cats are thinking? If your cats could write a blog, what would they talk about?
In this collection, you’ll meet Debbie De Louise’s current cats and two from the past who share their everyday activities, health concerns, behavior issues, and more.
Floppy relates his hospital experience, gives advice about taking pills, and discusses feline diabetes. His younger sister, Holly, talks about her weight issues, describes how she made the change from a feral to a house cat, and even writes a fictional story featuring her fur and human family members. Harry talks about the merits and perils of being a black cat, shares his bad habit of wire and shoelace chewing, and even gives tips about how to cope with a crisis. His sister Hermione reveals her fascination with high and low places, discusses how she mastered the cat flap door, and even reviews the Cat Writers’ Association conference.
If there’s a feline in your home or you enjoy reading about these quirky, beautiful, wise, and inspirational creatures, you’ll find these fur-st person tails from the cats’ points of view a purrfect read.

Hermione here with some good news. For those who have been following me and my brother’s Kitty Korner Columns, you’ll know that we were planning to stop sharing our adventures now that we’ve turned a year old. However, we’re still having so much fun in Debbie’s house, that we decided to ask Sneaky to extend our time on this blog. Today, I’m sharing with you my love of baskets. It all started when I found a basket on top of Debbie’s wardrobe. It was sitting among some old holiday tins and was very high, but I was confident I could reach it. I jumped on her jewelry armoire and climbed across her bureau. At that point, it was only a hop, a skip, and a jump before I was able to reach that beautiful basket. I was so proud of myself because my brother, Harry, wasn’t able to follow in my pawsteps. I finally felt bad for the guy, and showed him how I got up there. Leave it to a girl to teach a boy some new tricks. It was just a matter of time before he copied me, but he wasn’t interested in my basket which is a good thing because it’s my new favorite place. Now I regularly go up to my basket and even nap in it. Debbie cleared off the Christmas tins and other stuff, so I would have more room. I love a room with a view.
