✱✱Book Review✱✱ Ringman by Britney King

The bestselling author of HER and The Social Affair returns with a suspenseful tale of crime and passion about a charming sociopath and the criminologist hired to find his killer.

Jason McClure is one of the world's most skilled womanizers. A charming sociopath with a penchant for luxury, Jason is found naked in a dumpster, the only clue to his murder a crumpled photograph stuffed in his mouth.

Camile Brennan is a criminologist hired to consult with the Dallas Police Department on a single task: to find the person—or persons—responsible for McClure’s death.

Camile, who is equal parts beauty, brains, and narcissist, throws herself into the investigation, which takes a lascivious turn when she discovers photos of multiple women on Jason's laptop, each wearing one of the distinctive rings on the photo from Jason's mouth.

And just like that, she’s thrust front and center into Jason McClure’s debauched past, which is actually a relief, considering Camile’s own life is about to take a rocky turn.

Ringman is a sleek, fast-paced international thriller guaranteed to leave even the most seasoned suspense reader breathless.

Momma Says: 5 stars⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Every single time! Every time I start a new Britney King book, I say the same thing - This one's not gonna get me. Britney King is not gonna mess with my mind, and I'm gonna see those twists coming. And every time, I'm wrong. This one's no different in that respect. Seriously, I can almost hear Britney laughing, saying, "Gotcha!" And as always, I loved it!
Ringman came at a time when I really needed an escape from reality, something to get lost in for a little while, and it certainly did the trick. I was hooked from the very beginning, and these characters didn't let go. They still haven't, even now as I try to sort through my feelings about the book. We hear from a lot of characters in this twist-filled tale, and I'm not sure any of them were entirely reliable. Reliable or not, they were certainly entertaining, especially Oliver, who was one of my favorite characters.
I'm gonna stop there before I venture into spoiler territory - there are just so many things to talk about with this book! For now, I'll just sum it up by saying that I can't recommend this book enough. If you like psychological thrillers, then this author and the gripping story that is Ringman should be on your list.
